Terms Of Services

BILLING

Time begins when the crew arrives at your location and ends when the job is complete. Time is billed in 30 minute increments, rounded up to the nearest half hour. There is a 3 hour minimum, this will be clearly indicated on your estimate. Payment must be made on-site, in full, upon job completion. A receipt will be provided by email after payment has been processed. We accept Debit, Cash, Visa, MasterCard or E- Trasfer.

BOOKINGS

Once an estimate is accepted, an agent will be in touch to explain the next steps. Bookings are not secure until a non-refundable deposit has been paid. Once the deposit has been received, a confirmation email will be sent which means that your booking is complete.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If the client needs to cancel a booking, the client will lose their deposit. All deposits are non-refundable. If the client needs to reschedule a job, we require a minimum of 10 days notice, and the alternate date is subject to availability. If the job cannot be rescheduled, the client will lose their deposit.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

It is the client’s responsibility to disclose important information regarding the job. This includes a full and accurate list of items to be moved, accurate information regarding flights of stairs, elevator details etc. If there is undisclosed information, GOLDEN HANDS reserves the right to send additional crew members if needed. There is a 35$ charge for each additional staff member.

1. ELEVATORS

The client is responsible for booking elevators or loading bays that the move requires. Failure to do so may add time to the job.

2. DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY

It is the client’s responsibility to inform GOLDEN HANDS prior to the move if any disassembly or assembly of any item is required. Failure to do so may add time to the job. This work is not warranted.

3. WE DO NOT MOVE

Pianos, hazardous materials, pets, people, specialty items, including but not limited to: safes, pool tables, etc.

4. ABSENT CUSTOMERS

We encourage our customers to remain with us throughout the entire move, not least because when we are moving items such as furniture you can then point out any scratches, marks, or dents that we may have missed, or vice versa. If for whatever reason you are not available during your move, or if you need to leave during your move, we will need you to sign a release acknowledging that you accept all of the items in the condition that we bring them to you.

5. LIMITS OF LIABILITY

We are not liable for damage to or the loss of a complete set or unit when only part of such a set is damaged or lost. Should such damage occur, we are liable only for the damaged piece or pieces.

6. NO LIABILITY

Our company assumes no liability whatsoever should the client or others assist or interfere in any aspect of moving.
